We're excited to announce the second annual Dauphin Island Native American Festival at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Dauphin Island’s Fort Gaines Historic Site.

A celebration of the cultures that existed in the Alabama coastal region in the 1700s through the early 1800s, the festival will feature live storytelling and hands-on demonstrations of Native American foodways, recreational activities and arts and crafts. Tickets include both the Festival and a tour of Fort Gaines and are $6 for ages 5-12 and $12 for ages 13 and up.

Advance tickets can be purchased online at, at Dauphin Island Gallery or at Fort Gaines. Tickets will also be on sale at Fort Gaines the day of the event. The Festival will be a fun and educational experience for the entire family!

This event is sponsored in part by a grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, Folk Life Division.
