Fall Teacher Professional Development

Join us for an engaging educator professional development session all about the art of mathematics through Making Mathematical Thinking Possible with Robertsdale High School's Mathematics Educator, Misty Gonzalez.

This session provides educators 4 hours of ceu's and will consist of an engaging mathematics lesson focusing on the Golden Ratio with Misty Gonzalez, culminating with a tour of our special exhibitions.

Educators will participate in an interactive math lesson emphasizing interdisciplinary connections to be made between addressing mathematics standards and the visual arts. Misty will guide educators in teaching methods that incorporate mathematics and the visual arts as they relate to the golden ratio.

Educators will then have a guided tour through museum galleries facilitated by the museum education staff on effectively utilizing visual art in teaching mathematical concepts.
