Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy will host its annual premiere fundraiser, “The 3rd Annual Jazz & Cocktails: Rx For A Cause” on Thursday, May 14, 2020, from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., at The Grand Hall (3556 Halls Mill Road). The event features three incredible live jazz bands, including SWING featuring vocalist Gabby Merz, The Fifth K’nection Jazz Band, and dynamic youth artists, The Jazz Studio, under the musical direction of Mobile music icon Hosea London, leader of the Excelsior Band. This popular event includes incredible live jazz, tasty southern comfort food, an open bar, dancing, a silent auction, a jazz trivia game, and the chance to win great raffle prizes, all for $45 per ticket or two tickets for $80.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available, ranging from the $250 Rx & All That Jazz Level to the $5,000 Duke Ellington Level, which includes exclusive benefits such as 12 VIP reserved seats with corporate signage, a featured article in Ozanam’s newsletter publication, recognition on our printed promotions, website, social media, and the printed event program, along with corporate signage prominently displayed in our lobby, for one month, acknowledging the sponsor’s community partnership with Ozanam.
Proceeds benefit Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy (OCP), a 501©(3) non-profit organization, that serves as Alabama’s only free prescription medication safety net for uninsured individuals in Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia, and Washington counties in Alabama. In 2019, OCP provided 1704 qualified residents with life-sustaining prescription medications, at a retail value of $2.9 million. Since the need in our community is constantly growing, OCP hosts this annual premiere fundraiser to unite local jazz lovers, community partners, as well as our benefactors, to help generate the much-needed funds necessary to continue our great mission of providing life-sustaining prescription medications to those in need in our community, many of whom work each day.
