Ooo and ahh over the brilliant works of history’s greatest masters, contemporary risk-takers and emerging minds at the Mobile Museum of Art. The museum boasts over 6,000 works of fine and decorative arts from America, Asia and Europe. 

A HEARTY LUNCH

If you want to dine like a quintessential Mobilian, find the local favorites on menus everywhere! Locals Tip: You don’t have to wish the walls could talk at Wintzell’s Oyster House. Stop by for a fresh bowl of gumbo or raw oysters and enjoy the thousands of homespun sayings adorning the walls. It’s often said that “mama cooks best!” Enjoy southern home cookin’ while you dine at Mama’s on Dauphin.

GALLERY DISCOVERIES

Art lovers flock to the streets of downtown Mobile where numerous art galleries can be found within a few blocks of one another. The Mobile Arts Council - Gallery @ Room 1927 showcases artists of every experience level. The Sophiella Gallery is the place to be if you’re looking for contemporary fine art and solo exhibitions. Find art from every corner of the globe at the Alabama Contemporary Art Center.

WINE AND DINE

Take in the sights of the city from 34-floors above. Dramatic views meet distinctive dining at Dauphin’s. The menu spans every flavor of French Creole, but it’s the panorama spanning Mobile Bay that first wows you on arrival to the 34th floor of the historic Trustmark Building. End your night with the sound of smooth jazz and a hand-crafted Hemingway Daiquiri at Las Floriditas; a prohibition-era speakeasy designed in tribute to the birthplace of the daiquiri – El Floridita in Havana, Cuba.

As if you haven’t seen enough, the breathtaking views of our skyline sitting on the waters of Mobile Bay are the perfect way to end your stay. Fresh local seafood along Mobile’s causeway will not disappoint your tastebuds.
