This National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW), there is more reason than ever to celebrate the collective strength and promising future of the U.S. travel and tourism industry.

That's why here in Mobile we are using NTTW to recognize the contributions of the U.S. travel industry and how we will grow a more dynamic, innovative, sustainable and inclusive future.

The Future of Travel is protecting and celebrating our great outdoors.

Mobile is home to ‘America’s Amazon’ - the largest river delta and wetland in Alabama and one of the largest in the country. Mobile is one of the most eco-diverse areas with bayous, bays, and beaches.

Mobile provides clean ways to explore our great outdoors. Rent (or bring your own) kayaks for a peaceful paddle through Mobile’s waterways to enjoy the sounds of nature and an up close look at the wildlife. The Audubon Bird Sanctuary is one of the top birding locations in the nation. Catch a glimpse of the thousands of species of birds who migrate through the island habitat and listen to the beauty of nature’s chorus.

The Future of Travel is supporting eco-friendly businesses.

Braided River Brewing Company, named after the way multiple rivers come together in the Delta, is passionate about making sustainable choices to protect our area. They do their part by recycling spent hops as compost, giving grain sacks to environmental groups, and much more.

The beauty of nature is on full display in Mobile, Alabama, and we’re doing our part to protect that beauty for generations to come.

The Future of Travel is ecotourism!
