Planning Services
Upgrade your expectations.
Mobile is a port city rich with centuries of history and authentic culture that is the perfect backdrop to any meeting. Our Destination Services Department is here to help you take advantage of all that our city offers.
Southern Hospitality in Action
It’s our pleasure to support planners and attendees for meetings booked through Visit Mobile. We provide second-to-none service for meetings of all sizes.
Local Connections: Local connections are one of our specialties. From must-see attractions, delectable restaurants, spectacular golfing, rejuvenating spa treatments and even transportation options, Visit Mobile is happy to connect you with local contacts to enhance your meeting experience. Additionally, we can provide your group with Destination Guides, maps and even custom “Know Before You Go” emails to your attendees.
Meeting Recognition: For those looking to generate local interest in their meeting, Visit Mobile’s PR and Communications team is available to offer valuable suggestions for creating buzz about your meeting. We also offer the option to be listed on our website’s Calendar of Events. To find out more, please click here or contact us.
We can provide you with digital and print media to generate excitement and entice greater conference attendance. One year prior to your Mobile meeting, qualifying meetings can have a member of the Visit Mobile team attend their conference to promote our beautiful city.
Welcome! Mobile is always eager to make our guests feel welcome. Upon request, Visit Mobile can coordinate an official “Welcome” letter or a visit from one of our city officials for your opening session.
Helping Hands: For larger meetings, Visit Mobile can provide Visitor Information Specialists or Tourism Ambassadors who are knowledgeable about all things “Mobile” and ready to assist with registration or to staff a Visit Mobile information booth.

Southern for “a little something extra.”
Mardi Gras: The City of Mobile is the Birthplace of American Mardi Gras and the most popular items to catch at a parade are MoonPies and beads. We are the city Born to Celebrate and to help your group get into the celebration, we are happy to share some of those popular items with your attendees.
Azalea Trail Maids: For nearly a century, the Mobile Azalea Trail Maids have graced the City of Mobile, dressed in iconic pastel dresses that flutter like the azaleas that bloom in our historic city. Each year, 50 high school senior girls are chosen for their leadership and community service to carry forward this treasured tradition, serving as goodwill ambassadors for Mobile, Alabama. The Azalea Trail Maids would love to welcome your group to Mobile and bring their Southern charm to your event.
USS ALABAMA Crewmates: The USS ALABAMA Crewmate Program was founded in 1967 as an ambassador effort for the then newly created USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park. The Crewmates volunteer at events promoting Battleship Memorial Park, the City of Mobile and the State of Alabama. Visit Mobile is happy to arrange their attendance at one of your events.
