DAY ONE | A Journey through Time
Morning
Rise and shine! Start your journey through Mobile’s history at one of our most dynamic eateries, Bistro St. Emanuel. Located in the heart of our city’s oldest historic district, Church Street East, Bistro St. Emanuel serves daily brunch and meals that will leave you wanting seconds. Try the A La Bamian omelet!
Kick start your museum adventure at the History Museum of Mobile, which is housed in our first city hall. Dive into nearly 325 years' worth of stories, artifacts and immersive exhibits highlighting our beginnings as a port city.
After marveling at the History Museum of Mobile, walk across the street and be amazed by Colonial Fort Conde. This kid-friendly, scaled-down replica of the original French fort houses various artifacts and models that display how the building looked under Spanish, French and English rule.
Afternoon
Let’s take a break from the hustle and bustle of downtown for a moment. Visit the Mobile Medical Museum to learn more about Mobile’s presence in public health history. Nearly 300 years of medical advancements are showcased throughout this museum.
Speaking of historic, you should dine at one of Mobile’s oldest restaurants for lunch! The Dew Drop Inn’s menu, which features hot dogs, chili cheeseburgers, cheese curds and other bites, has been a community favorite since 1924.
The Archaeology Museum at the University of South Alabama is your next stop! Over 12,000 years of Mobile and Gulf Coast history reside in this museum. Dozens of artifacts, life-sized replicas and exhibits detail the daily lives of the area’s residents, ranging from mound-building Mississippian peoples to post-Civil War African American families.

DAY TWO | Keeping It Cultural
Morning
Now that you’re acquainted with our beautiful city, it’s time to dive headfirst into exploring our culture! You can’t do that on an empty stomach, though. Start the day off with brunch at Ruby Slipper Cafe. The Eggs Benedict cochon is one of our faves.
Kick off day two at the Historic Avenue Cultural Center. Once the Davis Avenue Branch of Mobile Public Library, this revitalized cultural space highlights Mobile's African American heritage and the unique history of Davis Avenue, a vital hub for Black residents that was significantly impacted during urban renewal.
Finish your morning journey with a powerful and moving experience at Africatown Heritage House, which tells the story of the Clotilda, the last known ship to bring enslaved Africans to the US, and honors the enduring legacy of the Africatown community.
Afternoon
Spend your afternoon at the Conde-Charlotte House Museum. View different pieces of furniture and decor that were common in Mobile in her French, Spanish, English, antebellum and American periods.
The Mobile Museum of Art is next! This space features over 6,400 works spanning centuries, cultures and continents. Without Stopping, Vulumazulu: The Black Solarium and Asian Art are some of the exhibits dedicated to showcasing the cultures that thrive in Mobile.
Evening
Seafood is a major part of Mobile’s food scene and culture. Enjoy a flight of oysters, a West Indies salad or a bowl of warm gumbo at Wintzell’s Oyster House, a Mobile staple since 1938.
If you still have room, enjoy the powdery goodness of Mo’Bay Beignets. If you’re feeling bold, taste one of their delicious seasonal syrups.

The Center features exhibits and anchors Mobile's budding Civil Rights & Cultural Heritage District.
DAY THREE | Out in the Elements
Morning
The Breakfast Spot is your first stop of the day. Enjoy soulful takes on traditional breakfast and brunch classics. The Conecuh bowls and Mardi Gras omelettes are the key to our hearts.
Spend your morning at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf. Immerse yourself in over 80 hands-on exhibits narrating Gulf Coast maritime culture, heritage and history, from hurricanes and shipwrecks to cargo. The building itself is shaped like a ship and yes, it’s just as fun as it sounds.
Afternoon
At the Exploreum Science Center, let the kids (or your inner child) explore science through hands-on exhibits and a massive IMAX dome theater! Wander through galleries about space, the wonders of the human body, chemistry and more.
For your last stop, visit the USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park. Wander through the insides of the USS ALABAMA and USS DRUM. Learn about the histories of the two vessels and the aircraft that are located inside of the pavilion.
Evening
Finish your experience with dinner on the Causeway! Felix’s Fish Camp, Original Oyster House, Ralph and Kacoo’s and BLUEGILL Restaurant are all delicious options that offer stunning views of Mobile Bay in addition to the good food.
