Accessible Mardi Gras for ALL in Mobile, AL
As the city that was Born to Celebrate, we are working to make the revelry of Mardi Gras parades accessible to everyone! Mobile has partnered with the non-profit Special Needs Assistance Station For You (SNASY) to offer reserved parking and rest stations for individuals with special needs and their families.
SNASY provides accommodations for registered families with special needs at events across the Southeast, ensuring they can attend and feel welcome and cared for.
WHAT: SNASY is providing a designated tailgate area with a custom 24-foot trailer featuring a fully ADA-accessible bathroom and an adult changing table. SNASY will also provide a climate-controlled tent along the outside of the trailer, with tables, chairs and light refreshments. Custom itineraries will include reserved parking and viewing areas, caregiving spaces, accessible family restrooms, accessible golf carts and a nearby first-aid station.
WHEN: Beginning with the first Mardi Gras parades on January 30, 2026, and continuing through Mardi Gras Day.
WHERE: Reserved parking at Fort Conde and reserved parade viewing at Mardi Gras Park & Spanish Plaza.
COST: FREE
WHY: SNASY is a privately-funded initiative supported by partners. The inspiration behind SNASY comes from the experiences of its founder and his family’s passion to provide a helpful resource for individuals with special needs.
SNASY requires registration for those bringing parade-goers with special needs.
SNASY states sites will also be open to serve the elderly and any parade-goer dealing with mobility or medical issues.
