The season kicks off with Son of a Sailor Fest, a free downtown event that pays tribute to Jimmy Buffett’s impact on our region’s culture and music. Food lovers won’t want to miss Foodie Fest, hosted by Visit Mobile, which turns the city into a culinary playground filled with local flavors and seasonal delights.
Celebrating heritage and community, Cultural Connections and the Mobile International Festival invite visitors to experience traditions, performances and cuisines from around the world, transforming Mobile into a global village. And on Saturdays in October, head to Cathedral Square for Market in the Park to browse artisanal goods, handcrafted items and fresh, locally grown produce from local vendors.
Fall Family Fun
Autumn brings plenty of opportunities for fall family fun in Mobile. At Seward Farms Corn Maze, kids and grown-ups alike can wander through winding paths and enjoy classic farm fun under crisp autumn skies. Around town, pumpkin patches pop up with bright orange fields that are perfect for picking pumpkins and snapping family photos. Local favorites like Muffinjaw Design’s Pumpkin Patch are a hit, but you’ll find plenty of spots throughout the area to choose from.
The Mobile Public Library’s Fall Festival comes complete with crafts, costumes and story time fun. Families can also add a little spook to their plans with Halloween happenings around town, from haunted houses to annual traditions at attractions like Bellingrath Gardens and the Exploreum Science Center.
