It’s a favorite time of year when we all celebrate a true American pastime … football. No matter where you are this fall, we know you'll be looking for a great spot to watch your favorite team. Check out this quick list of a few of our favorite spots to catch a game in Mobile!
-
Heroes Sports Bar and Grill
Heroes is the ultimate football spot where TVs line the entire building where you can watch almost any game. Heroes also has two locations—one in the heart of downtown and another just across the street from the University of South Alabama; both are wins! While you’re there, be sure to try the Clipper—a smoked turkey breast with bacon topped with sautéed mushrooms, Monterey Jack, and their secret sauce on grilled sourdough bread. -
Moe's Original BBQ Downtown
Moe's is a great spot downtown to catch the game and chow down on some fresh smoked meats and enjoy watching a game on TVs throughout the restaurant. They also have a mega screen for big SEC game days. Pro tip: Try the white bbq sauce on whatever you get, but I recommend the pulled pork. Don't forget to check out the side of the day … an array of delicious southern classics. -
LoDa Bier Garten
With over 100 beers on tap and delicious food, LoDa is a great option for your gameday! Their walls are lined with giant TVs and the atmosphere is vibrant. You’ll want one (or two!) orders of Southwest Egg Rolls to share with the table! -
Butch Cassidy's Café
If you like a smaller low key spot, try Butch Cassidy’s. This has been a favorite for years. They have plenty of TVs at the bar to catch several games. Their reasonable prices and excellent menu (including the "soon to be famous Butch Burger") will satisfy your cravings. -
Nixon’s Midtown
The inside of Nixon’s is a throwback to the 1920's era Nixon's Drugs store that operated in the building for 80 years. It’s the perfect backdrop for your game day festivities. There are plenty of TVs allowing you to catch multiple games at once. At halftime, you can pick up a game of pool or shuffleboard. The superb beer selection has a variety of domestic beers and a wide variety of IPAs on draft. Favorites from the kitchen are the veggie quesadilla (don't knock it until you try it fellow carnivores) and the T.B.S. (turkey, bacon & swiss). -
Lucky’s Irish Pub & Grill
Lucky's has a great menu and is the perfect place to watch the game. There are two locations (on Airport Blvd and Saraland). Even if you watch your favorite team lose here, the fried "cheese chunks" are a great comfort. -
Baumhower's Victory Grill
Owned by football legend Bob Baumhower, this is an easy win. Baumhower's was built with the game in mind. They have excellent grub, plenty of seats, and TV’s galore. Whether traditional or "hot lips", Baumhower's gives you custom control over the heat of your wings. They also offer 13 different sauces for dipping. From gooey fries to the char-grilled black + white chicken, this is the ultimate stop to watch the game.
