Mobile is home to some of the most eclectic, flavorful and downright delicious restaurants known to man. Taste our take on Gulf Coast culture all October long during the 2nd annual Mobile Foodie Fest. Each week boasts a new theme, so use this opportunity to get reacquainted with an old fave or try a new dish.

 

Mobile’s Original Ghost Tour | October 1

Let’s kick this spooky season off right! Listen to some of the most chilling and thrilling tales that haunt the Port City on this spooky-ooky tour.

Gulf Coast Challenge Tailgate Festival | October 2-4

Are you rooting for the Jackson State Tigers or Alabama A&M Bulldogs? If you aren’t in Mobile for the weekend of the Gulf Coast Challenge, you’re missing out! Start your weekend early at the College and Career Fair at the Mobile Convention Center and Gospel Xplosion featuring Deitrick Haddon at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Thursday, October 2.  On Friday, October 3, enjoy a fashion show, cheerleading showcase, a concert featuring the Ying Yang Twins and more at the HBCU Fest. On October 4, start your gameday experience off with a parade in downtown Mobile, followed by kickoff at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

 

13th Annual Throwdown | October 2

Celebrate the Mobile Arts Council’s 70th birthday with a live art competition, an auction, a special release brew from Braided River Brewing Co and bites from The Royal Scam and Heroes Sport Bar. This event is 70s themed, so don’t forget the platforms and paisley print!

 

Mobtown Burger Week | October 3-12

Stay tuned for one of the most delicious weeks of the year! Various restaurants, food trucks and eateries throughout Mobile are vying for the title of having the Port City’s most delicious burger. Here’s where you come in: you get to vote on your favorite!

Black Jacket Symphony Performs “The Era of Yacht Rock” | October 4

Hall & Oates, Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins and other voices represent some of the greatest voices of yacht rock. Listen to Black Jacket Symphony put their legendary spin on this musical era’s top hits at the Saenger Theater.

 

Dauphin Street Beer Festival | October 4

Sip the night away in downtown Mobile during the Dauphin Street Beer Festival, one of the year’s most highly anticipated events! Sample dozens of beers from local restaurants and breweries to get a taste of how robust and brew-tiful our beer scene is in Mobile.

Mobile Latin Fest | October 11

Experience the vibrant culture of Latin America at Mobile Latin Fest. Held at Mardi Gras Park, this festival features live music, dance performances, authentic cuisine and cultural exhibits.

Opa! Celebrate Greek culture in Mobile over baklava, souvlaki and other classic dishes at the 62nd Annual Greek Fest. 

 

Wine on the River | October 18

The 8th annual Wine on the River should be on your calendar! Make a stop at Battleship Memorial Park on October 18 to taste various wines from around the world. Admission includes a souvenir tasting cup, all wine samples and bites from Roosters, Original Oyster House and other local restaurants. 

 

Greater Gulf State Fair | October 24-November 2

Enjoy the thrills of the Greater Gulf State Fair. With exciting rides, live entertainment and delicious fair food, it’s a fall tradition not to be missed at The Grounds.
