Why is tourism important?
Tourism creates jobs, brings in revenue to the local economy, and enhances the quality of life for citizens of Mobile. Here in Mobile, tourism accounts for $1.5 billion dollars in economic impact and supports over 18,000 jobs.
Why choose the Visit Mobile Tourism Ambassador Program?
The program exist to inspire tourism partners, volunteers, and Mobile citizens to turn every visitor encounter into a positive experience. When visitors have a positive experience, they are more likely to return in the future and also share their experiences with others.
Becoming an ambassador allows you to understand your role in increasing tourism! The program will increase your knowledge of the region, answer various questions from visitors and locals alike, and allow you to meet others and learn from their experiences.
The program is not just training; it’s a certification! Completing the program means receiving an official VMTA pin and certificate and becoming a go-to volunteer for community events!
