American History TV joined tour guide Eric Finley to learn about the early history of Mobile, Alabama, and to visit Africatown, a National Historic Landmark neighborhood north of the city founded by former slaves who were captives on the ship Clotilda. Recently discovered under the mud of the Mobile River, the Clotilda smuggled approximately 110 kidnapped West Africans to Mobile in 1860. This is part one of a two-part tour.
