LAS FLORIDITAS REOPENS JUNE 16TH

Las Floriditas, Downtown Mobile’s first and only authentic Cuban speakeasy,

reopens on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 following its temporary closure due to COVID-19.

MOBILE, AL (June 10, 2020): Located in the basement of the Trustmark Bank building in Downtown Mobile amidst the old bank fault, the authentic Cuban speakeasy, Las Floriditas, reopens on Tuesday, June 16th. Despite a temporary closure due to COVID-19, Las Floriditas will reopen following CDC guidelines as well as including antibacterial air filters installed throughout the building to keep the staff and guests safe and healthy.

Paying tribute to Earnest Hemingway’s favorite bar in Havana, Cuba, El Floridita, Las Floriditas combines the authentic Cuban style with a prohibition-era feel to create an experience that can’t be found anywhere else. “We are excited to bring back the long-forgotten era of refinement to Downtown Mobile with the reopening of Las Floriditas,” says owner Bob Baumhower. “From entering through a hidden passageway, only after providing the secret password to the doorman, to the Cuban-inspired cocktails and cuisine, Las Floriditas is an experience that can’t be missed.”

Las Floriditas reopens on Tuesday, June 16th from 4pm to 10pm. Regular hours of operation are Tuesday through Wednesday from 4pm to 10pm, Thursdays from 4pm to 11pm, and Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 12am. Las Floriditas also offers live music every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. To view the Las Floriditas menus and dress code, visit www.lasfloriditas.com.
