The unveiling of Mobile County’s new soccer complex Thursday evening marked the end of an eight-year battle to make it a reality -- or, depending on whom you asked, a 40-year struggle.
Either way, supporters hope that the opening of the new facility, off Halls Mill Road a stone’s throw from the junction of interstates 10 and 65, signals the beginning of a new era. If it lives up to expectations it will serve both as a fertile home ground for upcoming local players, and as a tournament destination for teams from across the region. Read Full Story
