View various pieces of art that define the city and its people at the Mobile Arts Council Gallery @ Room 1927 and Lupercalia Art Society. 

Cost: Entries to both galleries are free. 

Date and Hours: The Mobile Arts Council Gallery @ Room 1927 is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lupercalia Art Society is open Wednesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Outdoor Exhibit at Ben May Library

Become one with nature with the Outdoor Adventure Exhibit at the Ben May Library. Learn about the various natural parks that beautify Mobile and our country.

Dates: The exhibit will remain open until Tuesday, July 31. The Ben May Library is open from Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday at Friday & Saturday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

 

Summer Drive-in Movies

Watch a movie from the comfort of your car during the Summer Drive-In Movie series. Sing along to Mama Mia at Medal of Honor Park on June 28 or kick back and watch Lightning McQueen and friends at James Seals Community Center & Park on July 26.

Hands-On History at the History Museum of Mobile

Mummies, butter and quill pens. Oh my! This summer, the History Museum of Mobile is providing fun-infused history lessons during the HANDS ON HISTORY: Summer Pop-In Programs. Learn the ins and outs of mummification, colonial-era toys, marbled paper creation and more.

Cost: Free for museum members. General admission for non-members.

City of Mobile’s 4th of July Celebration

Celebrate America’s 248th birthday in one of the Gulf Coast’s oldest cities. The City of Mobile’s 2024 4th of July Celebration will be held at USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park with live music, family fun and a spectacular fireworks display over the Mobile Bay.

Cost: USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Parking entry is $5 per car and $30 for large vehicles including trucks pulling trailers, campers, RVs, semis and 18-wheeler trucks.

Turn Up at Mob Music Festival

Mob Music Fest never fails to bring Cathedral Square to life. Explore performances and shows from artists in various genres from rock and alternative to jazz and gospel. In addition to hearing fantastic music, guests will be able to connect with upcoming local artists and surround themselves in the buzz of the downtown area throughout the weekend.

FNL Concert Celebrating Michael Jackson

Calling all P.Y.T.s! Enjoy a free Michael Jackson tribute concert hosted by the King of Pop Live Experience Band. Dance the night away to your favorite MJ classics at Mardi Gras Park. Adult beverages will be available for purchases. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs.

Second Weekend

Mobilians live for second weekends. During the second weekend of every month, downtown Mobile roars with life as Roll Mobile, LODA Artwalk and other community events commence. Restaurants and other businesses downtown open their doors to enjoy the hustle and bustle. Every month boasts a different theme. You’re guaranteed to enjoy Mobile’s magic during the second weekend. 

Cost: Roll Mobile and LODA Artwalk are free. Additional events and specials may have costs. 

Dates: Second weekend begins every second Friday evening of the month.
