Visit Mobile joins the City of Mobile and Carnival Cruise Line in their enthusiasm as Carnival has announced the line will resume year-round operations from the Port of Mobile beginning in spring of 2027.

Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy discussed the line’s strategic plan and future commitments during an April 6, 2025, media briefing in Miami, of which Mobile is a vital part.

Visit Mobile and the city’s leadership have continued the vital development of the Port of Mobile and strengthening the relationship with Carnival. This includes investing in the Mobile Alabama Cruise Terminal, which City of Mobile officials recently highlighted in the announcement of a new gangway for passengers.

“The Port of Mobile is one of the most compelling cruise markets to develop and we are grateful for our immensely supportive community and city leaders,” said David Clark, President and CEO of Visit Mobile. “The return to year-round sailings from the Port of Mobile is a testament to our relationship with Carnival and the incredible effort the staff at the Cruise Terminal,” Mayor Sandy Stimpson said. “This is great news for Mobilians and the many businesses that rely on our city’s thriving tourism industry.”

Recent itinerary upgrades were unveiled for future for Spirit passengers. Beginning in October, guests can expect to experience the Bahamas on 6-, 7-, 8-, 14- and 16-day cruises from the Port of Mobile, including Carnival's exclusive destinations, Celebration KeyTM in 2025 and RelaxAway, Half Moon CayTM in 2026.

Many Mobile hotels offer special "Park & Cruise" packages, where Carnival guests can park at the property and travel worry-free, regardless of how many days they stay before or after their cruise.
