Genevieve Young brings a well-rounded background in catering, events, sales and marketing. Genevieve began her career in 2018 as an event coordinator at Winthrop University, catering assistant with Sodexo, marketing manager for Innova Disc Golf and marketing manager for the York County Economic Festival. During that time, she managed a wide variety of events ranging from weddings to large-scale festivals, championships and concerts and handled integrated marketing efforts for many.
In 2022, she joined Oak View Group at the Durham Convention Center as an event manager and was quickly promoted to Senior Sales and Marketing Manager. During that time, she completed venue management school, received her Certified Venue Professional designation and won OVG's strategic insight award.
