The Admiral Hotel has once again been selected for inclusion in the MICHELIN Guide 2026, recognizing the quality of the guest experience and the dedication of its team.

According to the Guide's expert review, Alabama’s coastal metropolis of Mobile has more than a little bit of French heritage — and it’s this connection that serves as the Admiral Hotel’s historical inspiration. Not that it’s a historical hotel — the current incarnation of the 1940s-vintage Admiral is a modern luxury experience, mixing classic elegance with bold colors and an eye-catching graphic sensibility. The rooms and suites are as comfortable as many a more conventional luxury hotel, and quite a bit more memorable; the same can be said of the hotel’s café, cocktail bar, and its restaurant, Le Moyne’s Chophouse.

The Admiral is the only hotel in Mobile and one of just five properties in Alabama included in the 2026 selection, placing the downtown Mobile hotel among a distinguished collection of hospitality experiences recognized by the MICHELIN Guide.

“We’re incredibly proud of this recognition, but even more proud of the team behind it,” said Wesley Sang, Senior Vice President of Avocet Hospitality. “They care deeply about The Admiral and about making every guest feel welcome, and that shows in the experience they create every day. It means a lot to see their hard work recognized and to have The Admiral represent Mobile in the MICHELIN Guide.”
