Visit Mobile is pleased to announce the City of Mobile will once again host the South Eastern Region (SER) of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority, Incorporated®. More than 6,000 sorority members will visit the Port City for AKA SER’s 92nd regional conference from March 7 - 10, 2024 at the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center. The organization last chose Mobile as its host site in 2019.

The conference theme is “Soaring with Power in the Port City.” In addition to community service projects, registrants will participate in business meetings, workshops and various events designed to inform, educate and complement their membership in the 115-year-old sorority.

“It is a privilege to have Alpha Kappa Alpha Incorporated® back for this year’s conference,” said David Clark, CEO of Visit Mobile. “AKA SER’s impact and leadership to Mobile is significant and much appreciated.” While related events will occur throughout the downtown Mobile area, the Convention Center will be the primary location for the conference meetings.

The South Eastern Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is composed of three states: Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. Within the region, there are approximately 116 undergraduate and graduate chapters serving over 14,000 members.
