Beginning this Monday, August 17, and running through August 22, 2026, downtown Mobile will come alive with the annual celebration of Mobile Tiki Week. This week-long festival brings vibrant South-Seas vibes, delicious food, craft cocktails, and tropical energy directly to the heart of our historic city.
This year’s celebration is officially the largest in the event’s history, boasting a record-breaking lineup of more than 40 participating local venues. Mobile Tiki Week has grown far beyond evening cocktails; this year, you can enjoy tiki-themed breakfasts, tropical lunches, and unique caffeinated creations from participating local coffee shops. There are no tickets required to participate—simply view the list of venues, plan your route, and pop in to experience each location’s unique twist on tiki culture. Some “ports of call” will also feature live music, local entertainment, and specialized transportation partners like MOB City Rides to help you get around safely.
The event traces its humble roots back to 2013, when it began as a single “Mobile Tiki Night” at the former location of the Haberdasher. By 2014, the overwhelming local response prompted organizers to expand the event into Haberdasher Tiki Week, repeating the format in 2016. Over the years, passionate patrons began dressing in tropical attire and organizing mid-week “Rum Crawls,” inspiring other downtown businesses to climb aboard and transform the celebration into the massive, city-wide festival we enjoy today.
While Tiki Week is a blast for patrons, it also serves a deeply impactful purpose by raising funds for its official charity, Feeding the Gulf Coast. During the 2025 event, participating venues and generous guests successfully raised nearly $5,000, translating directly to nearly 25,000 meals for families in need across our community. This year, every tiki beer, tropical coffee, or specialty cocktail you enjoy directly supports this incredible cause, making your staycation indulgence feel even better.
