Visit Mobile joins the City of Mobile and Carnival Cruise Line in celebrating the announcement that the Carnival Valor will become the newest ship to call Mobile its home port. Upon the ship's arrival in May 2027, the line will resume year-round operations from the Port of Mobile.

According to the Carnival announcement issued on October 22, 2025, beginning May 15, 2027, Carnival Valor will begin offering a variety of six- to eight-day sailings from the home port visiting The Bahamas, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay and Celebration Key.

Until Valor arrives, Carnival will continue to serve Mobile on a seasonal basis with Carnival Spirit from October 2025 to April 2026, and again in October 2026.

Visit Mobile and the city’s leadership have continued the vital development of the Port of Mobile, strengthened the relationship with Carnival and invested in the Mobile Alabama Cruise Terminal.

“The Port of Mobile is one of the most compelling cruise markets to develop, and we are grateful for our immensely supportive community and city leaders,” said David Clark, President and CEO of Visit Mobile. "Carnival Spirit has and will continue to sail at capacity with attractive itineraries through the 2026 and 2027 season, proving the worth of the Port of Mobile for a larger ship." Clark celebrated the announcement with Carnival directors while attending the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association Conference in Puerto Rico.

“Mobile has been an important part of the Carnival family, and we’re thrilled to mark the return of year-round deployment with our first-ever Conquest-class ship serving the market,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

Carnival Valor will also offer two 14-day Carnival Journeys sailings as part of her deployment from the home port. In September 2027, Carnival Valor will sail a 14-day itinerary to the Caribbean and Panama. In November 2027, the ship will host an extraordinary seven-day Thanksgiving sailing and in January 2028, Carnival will offer a Southern Caribbean 14-day sailing from the Port of Mobile.

Many Mobile hotels offer special "Park & Cruise" packages, where Carnival guests can park at the property and travel worry-free, regardless of how many days they stay before or after their cruise.
