The Port City is for the furry and four-legged. Mobile is not only a city with a rich cultural heritage and phenomenal art scene, but it is also a welcoming destination for pets. With an abundance of scenic parks, attractions and accommodations, our city guarantees that pets can join in on the adventure. Whether you’re strolling along Dauphin Island’s beach or enjoying outdoor activities, Mobile has something to offer all of our guests.

Let’s get wild! As home to over 40 parks, Mobile has tons of space for you and Fido to play fetch and run around. Capture some Instagram-worthy shots at the picturesque Cooper Riverside, British and Washington Square Parks. Surround yourself and your furry friend in the Mobile’s culture at the Mardi Gras and Spanish Plaza Parks.  Check out a short list of Mobile’s parks and community centers here

Outdoor Attractions

Sitting on the couch and watching Netflix is boring. Let’s take it outside! Soak up the sun and bond with your pet at the 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center, where the Mobile, Spanish, Tensaw, Apalachee and Blakeley rivers merge and flow into Mobile Bay. Turn your day into a mini road trip with a trip to Dauphin Island. An easy drive down to the city’s 7 miles of public beach can easily turn into a lifetime of memories. Mobile Botanical Gardens is a pet-friendly option for those looking to explore Mobile’s flora and fauna with their pet by their side.

Dining Options

Mobile has countless outdoor patios and al fresco dining options that are open to pets. Share a meal with your pup at LoDa Bier Garten, Callaghan’s Irish Social Club, Squid Ink Eclectic Eats and Drinks and more places around town. Rules and guidelines vary per location. If outdoor dining interests you, check out our list of options here.
