As one of spring’s most highly anticipated events, the inaugural Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival at Bellingrath Gardens & Home will illuminate our region with colorful odes to regional and Chinese culture. This family-friendly experience will light up our nights from April 17 to June 15. Here are a few things you should know before you go!

What day(s) will the Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival be open?

Guests can visit the Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival Thursday-Sunday weekly from April 17-June 15, 2025.

What times are the displays available for viewing?

The displays will be lighting up the Gardens from 5-10 p.m. every Thursday-Sunday.

Where can I park?

Complimentary parking will be available for all guests at the entry to the Gardens.

Is Bellingrath Gardens & Home accessible?

Yes. Bellingrath offers paved paths and benches throughout the grounds,  accessible restrooms and shuttle service from the parking lot to the main entrance. Wheelchair rentals are also available for $6.

How many sculptures will be available for viewing?

41 handcrafted light displays will be available for guests to “ooh” and “ahh” over.  

Are any of the sculptures and displays interactive? 

Yes indeed! Many of the displays have interactive features that will make the experience more memorable for guests.

How much are tickets and where can I buy them?

Tickets can be purchased both on-site and online at the Bellingrath Gardens & Home website. Prices vary based on the guest's age, membership and the purchasing method. Please note that there is an additional $8 fee for tickets bought in person. Tickets are non-refundable. 

I saw “flex tickets” mentioned on the Bellingrath Gardens & Home website. What are those?

Flex tickets can be purchased in advance and are available for any show night of your choosing. These tickets are an additional $10 more than “day-of” ticket purchases. 

Will a general admission ticket to Bellingrath Gardens & Home count as entry to the Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival?

No. Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival tickets vary from general admission tickets to the Gardens. There currently isn’t a combined ticket option. General admission tickets and festival tickets must be purchased separately for a full experience of Bellingrath Gardens & Home. 

Are there any dining options at Bellingrath Gardens & Home?

Snacks can be purchased at Live Oak Plaza. The Magnolia Cafe will sell evening meals. Beer and wine will be available for purchase in the admissions area.
