Celebrate the start of a year-long tribute to America at the Richards DAR House Museum’s Christmas Celebration: A Salute to America 250, taking place December 5–7, 2025. Step into the season with festive historic décor, live music and holiday refreshments inside one of Mobile’s most charming landmarks.
Christmas at Africatown Heritage House | December 6
Celebrate the magic of the holiday season in remembrance of the survivors of the Clotilda during Christmas at Africatown Heritage House on December 6. Enjoy hands-on arts and crafts, special performances, photos with Santa Claus and free entrance into the exhibit from 11 am-3 pm.
An Evening with Peter Billingsley & A Christmas Story | December 10
This holiday season, relive the charm of one of America’s most iconic Christmas films at An Evening with Peter Billingsley and A Christmas Story on December 10. Enjoy a full screening of the beloved classic, then stick around for an intimate behind-the-scenes conversation and audience Q&A with Peter Billingsley, the actor who brought Ralphie Parker to life.
Mobile Museum of Art’s Holiday Market & Open House | December 13
Christmas with an artsy twist! On December 13, from 1 to 5 p.m., indulge in live music, food trucks, and shopping from local vendors during the Mobile Museum of Art’s Holiday Market and Open House. Don’t forget to check out the museum’s exhibits!
Christmas at the Exploreum | December 13
On December 13, from 9:30 am to 2 pm, nerd out over engaging in festive-infused STEM demonstrations at Exploreum Science Center’s Christmas at the Exploreum. Visit the museum’s newest exhibit, Titans, sip on hot cocoa and watch a special viewing of The Polar Express in the PCI Digital Dome Theater.

MoonPie Over Mobile New Year Celebration | December 31
Name a better way to welcome the new year than to watch a 600-pound electric MoonPie glide down the side of RSA Tower. We'll wait! On New Year's Eve, join us downtown for MoonPie Over Mobile. Throughout the day, there will be family-friendly events and activities. The Christmas Nights in Lights drive-thru spectacular returns to Mobile! Experience the magic at Dauphin Way Baptist Church, conveniently located off I-65 and Dauphin Street. The dazzling display is open nightly (except Wednesdays) — and yes, the lights shine bright on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Night, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day!
Holidays at the Grand Hotel Resort & Spa
The Grand Hotel never fails to “wow” us, and its holiday festivities will be no different. Kick off the holiday season at the Grand Hotel with family Olympics, Grand Express train rides and a buffet fit for royalty during Thanksgiving. On various weekends in December, participate in various events during the 3rd Annual Grand Holiday Stroll. Other happenings include a gingerbread workshop and photo sessions with Santa.
