EXPLORE BY WATER

STROLL THE PARKS & SQUARES
Our parks and squares are the perfect setting for picnicking, squirrel watching, listening to the sweet sound of live music or catching up on a good book. Downtown Mobile boasts a plethora of parks within walking distance of each other. The most iconic of these is Bienville Square; home to the beautiful Ketchum Fountain. Cathedral Square is home to farmers' markets, festivals, art in the park and so much more. Jump in the car and explore the 720-acre Langan park where you can enjoy biking and jogging paths with a large lake that is perfect for hammocking and relaxing. Every Saturday beginning June 12 until September 4, enjoy food trucks, live music and more at Cooper Riverside Park for Saturdays at The Coop! If your preferences lean more towards flora and fauna, visit the stunning 65-acre Bellingrath Gardens and Home.

As the oldest city in Alabama, Mobile has a rich history spans three centuries. No matter where you turn, history is right around the corner. Brush up on your trivia at the History Museum of Mobile, explore the battlegrounds of Colonial Fort Condé, or walk the streets of our historic downtown on a guided tour. Art lovers flock to the streets of downtown Mobile where numerous art galleries can be found within a few blocks of one another. On the 2nd Friday of the month, be sure to check out LoDa ArtWalk in downtown Mobile. Folks gather to enjoy the latest in local art, music, food and culture where you can troll along, browsing eclectic local galleries, public spaces and pop-up markets at your leisure.
