Ahh, yes. Summer is officially here, and our event calendar is bursting at the seams. Some of our most anticipated events take place during this bustling month. Grab a friend (or two) and spend some time in the Port City. Here are a few events and experiences you can enjoy in Mobile this July. 

 

Summer Series at Mobile Museum of Art | All July

The Mobile Museum of Art is the place to be this summer. CRYPIC UNDER WING: Glass and Mixed Media by Rachel Wright, JUAN LOGAN: Without Stopping and Apollo’s Vuzumazulu: The Black Solarium are on display. Be amazed by these artists’ creations that drew inspiration from the communities and landscapes of Mobile. 

 

Painting for Adults with Jakob Dwight | July 1

This summer, let those creative juices flow! Paint the night away from 5:30-8 pm. at the Mobile Museum of Art during Painting for Adults with artist Jakob Dwight.

2025 Landing Event & Ancestor Festival (LEAF) | July 3-6

In case you didn’t know, the Clotilda Descendants Association (CDA) is putting a spin on their annual Clotilda landing day festivities. In honor of the 165th anniversary of the Clotilda’s arrival in Mobile, the CDA is launching a new signature event, the Landing Event and Ancestors Festival (LEAF). On July 3–6, this multi-day celebration combines two of the group’s annual events into one powerful tribute honoring heritage, history and community in Africatown. View the full lineup here. 

 

4th of July in Mobile | July 4

We’re keeping it funky, fun and festive this 4th of July! Celebrate America’s 249th birthday with fireworks, delicious food and new memories. Whether you’re sailing down Mobile Bay with the Historic Blakeley State Park team or watching fireworks fly over the USS ALABAMA at Battleship Memorial Park, you’re bound to have the best Independence Day ever. 

 

It’s Greek to Me | July 8

It’s no secret that Mobile has architecture inspired by the different groups that settled here. View the classical Greek influences that grace the grounds at Bellingrath Gardens & Home. Walk through the Bellingrath home to see the European inspirations behind the home’s decor and overall interior.

Mob Music Fest | July 11-13

Three days of nothing but family-friendly, musical and free fun sounds like fun to us! Luckily, it’s not hard to obtain at the Mob Music Fest. 
 

Dauphin Street Vault | July 19

The Dauphin Street Vault is returning for its 14th year, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. At this cherished annual event, watch hundreds of professional and amateur vaulters sail through the air in Downtown Mobile.  

 

Humidity Freak Techno + House Live DJs at Slurp Society | July 19

Saturdays are best spent grooving over drinks and ramen at Slurp Society! House and techno will be the tunes of the night. We wouldn’t miss out on this if we were you.

Summer Drive-in Movies | July 25

Summer isn’t complete without experiencing the magic of our Summer Drive-In Movies! Watch Disney’s Mufasa surrounded by fellow movie lovers and the historical backdrop of USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park.

 

Africatown Heritage House Culture Fest | July 26

If celebrating culture through arts and crafts, food trucks, apothecary classes and other activities sounds like a vibe to you, then Africatown Heritage House’s Culture Fest is right up your alley. This event is always a treat but this one is extra special. Listen to renowned artist Juan Logan talk about his special exhibition, Without Stopping, and how he drew inspiration from the story of Africatown and his community. 

 

Magic Christmas in July | July 26
