One of Mobile's historically favorite attractions, USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park, has earned a spot among 20 museums ships from around the United States as the nation's favorite, according to USA Today.

The USA Today 10 Best Museum Ships of 2025 will be determined by voting, which is open to the public. Readers may vote once per day until polls close on Monday, February 10 at 11 a.m., CT. The winning museums, as determined by votes, will be announced on Wednesday, February 19.

 

Those who visit the USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park experience a take a step back in time, embarking on an incredible journey into America's military past. Each step brings you closer to understanding how our veterans lived and worked. 

The park includes the battleship, nicknamed the "Mighty A," the USS DRUM submarine, a robust aircraft pavilion, tanks, artillery, memorials and more. More than seventeen million visitors later and a statewide economic impact approaching one billion dollars, the Park is easily the most recognizable symbol of the State of Alabama. Dedicated to all Alabama Citizens who have worn the uniform of all branches of the United States Armed Forces, the Park’s numerous artifacts, exhibits, and displays all point to the fact that the Park is America’s most unique military attraction.
