There's only one 600-pound MoonPie that gets dropped on New Year's Eve, and it has earned a spot among 20 other events from around the United States as the nation's favorite, according to USA Today. MoonPie Over Mobile is celebrating its 18th year of bringing free, family-friendly fun to downtown Mobile, Alabama.

USA Today is asking readers to vote to name the 10 best New Year's Eve drops - this is our time to shine!

An online vote will determine the 10 Best New Year's Eve Drops of 2025. Readers may vote once per day until polls close on Monday, December 1, at 11 a.m., CT. The winning events, as determined by votes, will be announced on Wednesday, December 10.

MoonPie Over Mobile 2025 features events throughout the day, starting with the Kids Zone in Mardi Gras Park. Families enjoy bounce houses, NYE crafts, MoonPie treats and a second line march to see the MoonPie drop at noon! At 7:30 p.m., the fun begins for adults with an umbrella decorating contest, fresh jazz music, and cutting the World's Largest Edible MoonPie, followed by a second-line parade down to the main stage.

This year's musical lineup includes The Jukebox Brass Band, Red & the Revelers and the main act, Morris Day and the Time!
