The Mobile Azalea Trail Maids are a group of intelligent, diverse and ambitious young ladies, in their senior year of high school, who serve as goodwill ambassadors for the city of Mobile, AL. Each year, a court of 50 young ladies are selected to participate in this long standing tradition. Azalea Trail Maids attend over 250 community events each year, both in their iconic pastel dress, and as hands-on volunteers. They also represent the city of Mobile at a variety of state and national events. During their year of service, Trail Maids will engage with their community, build relationships with peers and mentors, and learn valuable life skills. The Mobile Azalea Trail Maids are a project of the Mobile Jaycees, formerly known as the Junior Chamber of Commerce. This internationally recognized non-profit organization is focused on promoting volunteerism and leadership development through initiatives that are established by local chapters. The Mobile Chapter has three projects; The Mobile Azalea Trail Maids, Greater Gulf State Fair, and Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo.
