Visit Mobile joins our community in celebrating Mobile City Council’s approval of the fundamental agreements needed to restore Amtrak service between Mobile and New Orleans.
We sincerely thank all those in partnership for seeing through the vision for a spring 2025 start. Thank you to Mayor Sandy Stimpson and his staff, Mobile City Council, Alabama State Port Authority, the State of Alabama, Southern Rail Commission and Amtrak.
The twice-daily service will provide substantial options for easy and experiential travel for visitors and citizens while creating a new avenue of economic impact for the City of Mobile and Gulf Coast communities.
