Mobile Botanical Gardens' 50th Anniversary Celebration
This year, Mobile Botanical Gardens (MBG) is celebrating its 50th year of bringing beautiful blooms to the Port City. The MBG staff is commemorating this milestone with a variety of events that are open to plant enthusiasts near and far. The 2024 Marion Drummond Lecture Series, which begins on Saturday, February 17, will feature monthly presentations from revered horticulturalists and authors focusing on all things green throughout the year. Calling all aspiring or accomplished plant parents! On March 14-16, Plantasia!, MBG’s annual plant sale, will be taking over the gardens. On Thursday, April 11, spend an evening surrounded by jazz, signature cocktails and 106 acres of beauty at the Mobile Botanical Garden’s 50th Birthday Celebration.
Beers & Blooms at Bellingrath Gardens & Home
From 12 pm- 6 pm on Saturday, March 2, the 4th annual Beers & Blooms will be bustling in the heart of Bellingrath Gardens & Home. Just imagine enjoying performances from local bands and basking in the beauty of the gardens surrounded by food trucks and ample craft beer options. If that doesn’t set the tone for the upcoming season, we don’t know what else will!
Festival of Flowers
Embrace the beauty of spring at the Providence Hospital Foundation’s 31st annual Festival of Flowers in Mobile, AL on March 8-10! Dive headfirst into a blooming wonderland of vibrant colors and fragrant flowers in Cathedral Square. In addition to being surrounded by beautiful plants all weekend long, the Festival of Flowers will feature additional events, including downtown Mobile’s ArtWalk on Friday, March 8 and the 11th Annual Buds & Brews on Saturday, March 9.
Bunnies & Baskets at OWA
It’s all about family-friendly fun at OWA. From March 23-30, OWA’s annual Bunnies & Baskets celebration will be taking the amusement park by storm. From the Golden Egg Hunt to photoshoots with live bunnies, OWA is definitely making this Spring one to remember.
Mobile Ballet’s Sleeping Beauty
One of the most renowned classic fairytales will be coming to life at the Mobile Civic Center Theater this Spring. Guests will be amazed by the stage production and Tchaikovsky's iconic score performed by a live orchestra.
