Explore the wonders of Mobile’s hustling and bustling downtown area during April Walking Tours, which are held every Saturday at 10 a.m. These free guided tours offer an in-depth and insightful view into Mobile’s culture.

Select Dates | Port Tours to View the SS United States aboard the Perdido Queen
View the exterior of the SS United States and other ships docked in the Mobile River during a port tour aboard the Perdido Queen. Tours will take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. 

April 3 | Spanish Wine Tasting at Conde-Charlotte House Museum
Want a taste of Spain? Sip the day away at Conde-Charlotte House Museum at the Spanish Wine Tasting event on April 3. Indulge in various wines and Spanish cheese from the Cheese Cottage.

April 5 | Spring Fling

April 5 | Easter in Wonderland
Not your average Easter egg hunt experience! The Exploreum Science Center’s STEAM experiments, special showing of Alice in Wonderland and ice cream treats will make this Easter the most memorable one yet!

April 5-6 | Mobile Symphony Orchestra’s Best of the Best
Name that movie tune! At the Saenger Theater on April 5 and 6, the Mobile Symphony Orchestra will be performing renditions of popular songs from legendary movies like Beetlejuice, Jurassic Park, Psycho and more. 

April 5-9 | Spring 2025 Bird Banding at Dauphin Island
Experience the beauty and diversity of the various migratory birds that flock to Dauphin Island during the annual bird banding event. 

April 7 | Ball Celebrating 200th Anniversary of Lafayette’s American Tour
Dress up in your best 19th-century-inspired evening wear and join us at the Mobile Carnival Museum for a night dedicated to commemorating the 200th anniversary of Marquis Lafayette’s farewell American tour. 

April 7 | History Museum of Mobile Celebrates Lafayette’s Farewell Tour
Join the celebration of Marquis Lafayette’s Farewell Tour on April 7 at this History Museum of Mobile with a reception hosted by the friends of the Richards DAR House Museum. Following the reception, enjoy a reenactment of Lafayette’s arrival at Fort Conde.

April 17 | Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival Grand Opening 
Odes to Gulf Coast and Chinese cultures will light up the night at the grand opening of Bellingrath Gardens & Home’s Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival. Fall in love with various interactive displays, larger-than-life light installations and more. Following the grand opening, the Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival will be available for viewing every Thursday-Sunday.

April 17 | Heritage Lecture Series at Africatown Heritage House: Dora Franklin Finley African American Heritage Trail
Listen to Eric Finley, Dora Franklin Finley African American Heritage Trail’s docent, give a speech about his perspective on the Black experience in Mobile.

April 18 | Napoleon Dynamite LIVE
Brace yourself for this shocking news! It’s been 20 years since the release of Napoleon Dynamite! Enjoy a screening of the film followed by a Q&A with cast members, Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Jon Gries (Uncle Rico) and Efren Ramirez (Pedro).
