August 1 | Oyster Shell Magnolia Flowers at Bellingrath Gardens & Home
Let those creative juices flow! Create a magnolia flower using natural oyster shells during this immersive and fun workshop at Bellingrath Gardens & Home. All supplies are included and light bites will be provided.
August 2 | The Inflatable Pop-Up: Grown Up Edition
The City of Mobile is bringing all of the fun to Medal of Honor Park. This free 21+ event will feature various inflatables, food trucks, a live DJ and more.
August 7 | Ghostly Tides with the Perdido Queen
In case you didn’t know, Mobile has some spooky lore lurking around. Explore four haunted areas in and around Mobile Bay while listening to chilling stories aboard the Perdido Queen.
August 8 | Annual Members Show at Mobile Arts Council
Support local artists! View the Mobile Arts Council’s 2025 Annual Member Show through August 31. Various pieces of art created by local artists will be on display. The winners of this year’s contest will be announced during Artwalk on August 8.
August 8 | Macy Gray at Saenger Theater
Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Macy Gray’s debut album, On How Life Is, at the Saenger Theater. Listen to Gray perform “I Try,” “Why Didn’t You Call Me” and other favorites from her best-selling album.
August 9 | Mr. Bellingrath’s Birthday
Come honor Mr. Bell’s legacy and soak in the beauty of Bellingrath! Celebrate Walter Bellingrath’s birthday with free admission for local guests! Residents of Mobile & Baldwin Counties (AL) and Jackson & George Counties (MS) can enjoy the Gardens, complimentary cake and Coca-Cola (while supplies last) and a visit from the Azalea Trail Maids from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

August 18-23 | Mobile Tiki Week
Sip, sip. Hooray! Every summer, we anticipate the return of Tiki Week. Downtown bars and restaurants offer tropical and fruity specialty drinks and menu items that will transport you to the nearest luau. Participating restaurants also host live music performances and events throughout the week.
August 23 | Living History Drill at USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park
Step aboard the USS ALABAMA and USS DRUM and experience WWII history in action during August’s Living History Drill! Interact with reenactors in period Navy uniforms as they share crew stories, conduct weapons briefings and demonstrate life aboard ship during wartime at Battleship Memorial Park.
August 30 | Pastor Shirley Caesar at Saenger Theater
The First Lady of Gospel is coming to the Saenger Theater! The Grammy-award winning Pastor Shirley Caesar will be performing some of her most moving and praise-filled songs.
August 30: University of South Alabama Jaguars Football Kick-Off
Football season is back and we couldn’t be more excited. Watch the Jaguars kick off the season against Morgan State University at Hancock Whitney Stadium. Go Jags!
