Why is there a fort in the middle of downtown Mobile?
Oh, that thing? That's Colonial Fort Condé, and it sits on the site of the historic fort built in the early 1700s that guarded Mobile for over 100 years! It celebrates our French, Spanish, British and American heritage. The History Museum of Mobile is located just across the street and you can explore both places with one ticket!
